More Webster's Pages "Beautiful Chic" by Linda Eggleton

Hello everyone & welcome to the blog today.
I am back to share 2 last layouts for Feb, again using the gorgeous Webster's Beautiful Chic.
I have thoroughly enjoyed working with this collection over the last 4 weeks...and have been pleasantly surprised at the variety of layouts I have created from it.
The patterns on these papers, I think are quite unique...and very cool as well.
Ok, so on with the layouts...
"Cake Smash"
Based on the 15th Feb Stuck sketch
I couldn't go past using the white Interior Design paper for the background.....to me it has a 60's/70's look to it.  Anyways...I've added some misting to the background with Crafter's Workshop Tiny Dots template, and then added some random dabs of Key Lime Pie glimmermist using clingwrap.

I've added a cluster of Manorhouse, Green Tara & Petaloo blooms

And opposite I've used one of the 2Crafty Sharon's butterflies, that is partially tucked in under the photo.  There's also a few 2Crafty ATC butterflies around the page at various points too.

I used some Teresa Collins sequins that I still have from one of my DT kits months ago...they went perfectly with the colours on this page.  And how gorgeous is that Flutterby flair?!?!  I cannot get enough of these fabulous flairs :D

The little camera beside the title is cut from the Frame & Icon vellum sheet & tucked into the paper layers at the bottom of the page.  As always....strip journaling!

Again I've added a few pieces cut from the Jillibean Soup lattice placemat & layered them in under the photo.  For the paper layers in under the photo....just a variety of different sized papers & strips that I played around with until I was happy with the look.

Pic is of little Miss Olivia having fun with her 1st Birthday cake smash.

Next is a quick layout put together with what was leftover from my kit...

"Dream"

I really love this background paper!  Painted Perfect - and I've left it plain without any background work - partially because I was lacking time, but also because I felt it suited the style of layout best.

The spotted paper is what I had left after using the outer edges as the frame on last week's layout, and the inside piece I had cut out earlier in the month to use in my paper layers....so this is what I was left with, and it looked a bit like a frame so I left it just as it was & simply sat the photo inside it so that it looked like the photo was framed.  I've added 2 small strips of punched borders to the top & bottom of the square piece of spotted paper, just to break things up a bit so that it didn't look too square & plain.

Another cluster of Green Tara & Petaloo flowers....with some diecut leaves & a Flair from my stash.  The title is also from my stash, a Manorhouse diecut that I've coloured by painting on some glimmermist.

Here is a piece of 2Crafty Circular border that I've painted in Gesso & placed running along the bottom of the photo.

Another small cluster....with 2 of the flowers I cut out from the In Bloom paper and used for the base of the cluster.

Some little alpha stickers in teal & one of the stickers from the Sentiments sticker sheet.
Underneath the little alpha stickers was a pink banner that is part of the sticker, so I added the little alpha stickers over the top as I felt the bright pink would have looked a bit out of place.

And here's a close up of the main area of the page.
This beautiful old mansion is at Mayfield, near Oberon....I can only imagine & dream of how amazing it would be inside!

Well, that finishes me up for the month using this gorgeous pretty collection.
I really hope you have been inspired by it & are itching to race out & grab yourself some!

Thanks so much for dropping by today :)
Until next time....xx

More Kaisercraft Shine Bright by Fiona Johnstone

  Hello everyone

My last share for the month and I have created another layout using Kaisercrafts fabulous Shine Bright collection.

I adore this funky yellow brick wall paper and have teamed it up with some black paint and an old credit card combined with a mix of the black, white and grey papers in the range to create my layout,  Hello World.

A couple of close-ups. My title is made using one of the gorgeous script words that are included in the Collectibles pack and some of the Kaisercraft Alpha Stickers - love these little stickers, the perfect size.
And a final close-up of my layered stickers and collectibles to finish off my page.
Thanks for stopping by, till next month!

Webster's "Beautiful Chic" & Kaisercraft "Betsy's Couture" - By Linda Eggleton

Hi everyone....I have lots to share today!

I have another layout using the beautiful "Beautiful Chic" range from Webster's....and also a few Kaisercraft DT projects, using "Betsy's Couture".
2 very different paper collections.

So I'll get right to it!

"Beautiful Girls"
My page is based on Sketchabilities sketch #133

I couldn't decide which of these papers to use for my background....
it was a hard decision! lol
I ended up using the "Aged to Perfection" paper....with all those fabulous rings from the trunk of a tree featured on them!!  It is such a beautiful, yet cool paper....and then used the Cherry Blossoms paper as a border - so I still ended up using the 2 papers that I couldn't decide between - win win! lol

I've gone for a bit of a vintage/shabby chic look for this one....using a pic of my mum when she was a little girl with one of her sisters.

For the background I've added some textured stencil work with a mixture of glimmermist & watered down Gelatos stamped on using cling wrap.  I've also added a bit of  random stamping using Kaisercraft Crackle stamp...plus Prima Stiched stamp.

I've created a cluster of Green Tara, Petaloo & Prima flowers....a Flutterby Flair, Diecut leaves & 2Crafty Flying bird - coloured with Gelatos...and there's also one of the cute little stickers from the Tags & Prompts sticker sheet.

And I've repeated another smaller cluster at the opposite side of the photo...this time adding in a few layered pieces from the Frame & Icon cards vellum sheet.

With a few different papers cut into different sizes, I've layered up behind the photo...and there's also some more 2Crafty - Chevron Bits.

The title is made up of one of the stickers from the Sentiments sticker sheet...plus some of the Aqua little letter stickers.

Here is a bit of a close up of the background stencilling...

Framing the photo is another gorgeous 2Crafty piece - Round Ornate Frame....that is painted in Gesso with a few light swipes of Kaisercraft Vintage ink.

(A full list of products with links can be found at the very bottom of this post)

Now onto some Kaisercraft work with Betsy's Couture....a beautiful heritage themed collection!

"Timeless Memories"

I have used the Baby Doll specialty paper as the background...which is the gorgeous circle clock face paper (the kraft cardstock is only sitting behind the page while I photographed it).

I've used a variety of diecut pieces from the Collectables pack, along with some blooms & acetate clocks that I cut from the other specialty paper - Timeless.

Here I've used the gorgeous Kaisercraft Street Light Die...that I felt was just perfect for this style of layout :) I have also roughly inked it in KC Vintage ink
to help lift it and add a bit more colour to the page.

Other – Flower, Resin Cameo, Distress Ink.

Next up is a BTP item

"Betsy's Mannequin"
I have used papers from the Paper Pad that I cut into long strips & layered at different lengths. I also added some strips of tulle to add a bit of depth & texture to the skirt.

Here is a close up showing more of the skirt detail....the layers of paper with some tulle in amongst them as well.

I folded a paper doily in half to add another layer to the skirt & decorated with some Collectables pieces, blooms & some feathers!

And I've finished off with some pearls around the neck.

Other – Paper Doily, Feathers, Ribbon Bow, Tulle

And lastly....a card

"If you only Knew"

I have used one of the NEW Kaisercraft Embossing Folders....Flourish.
How gorgeous does it look?!? I've tried to feature it on the background paper of the card without covering it up too much. This is a gorgeous folder for a vintage look.

Here's a few close ups....

A variety of Collectables layered up, with a small cluster of blooms & punched leaves.

And here's a bit of a close up of the Flourish Embossing Folder....I love it! :)

Kaisercraft Wanderlust by Fiona Johnstone

Hi everyone

This week I am playing with the fabulous Wanderlust collection from Kaisercraft. Gotta love a travel themed collection and this one is fabulous!! Of course, just because it is travel themed, doesn't mean you have to scrap a travel photo, in this layout I have scrapped an outdoors photo and used some travel themed words about adventures!!

As this is a pretty busy page with lots of words, I have left it untitled:
To soften some of the stark background, I have used a white gelato and rubbed over the page with it, this softens the background without hiding the words. Next I have chosen some papers in colours that compliment the colours in my photo. After layering up the papers I have added some stitched stamping, then used the collecitbles and a few other embellishments to finish off the layout.

Some close-ups of the framing of the photo with the collectibles and some of the detail of the stitching:
Using some of the phrases on the sticker sheet over some of the collectibles, then adding some wood veneer and flair buttons - my go to products.
And some side detail, which also shows a close up of the affect of the gelatos on the background.
Thanks for stopping by, be quick to get some of this delightful range, it is selling out fast!!

Till net week
Fiona

Webster's Pages "Beautiful Chic" - by Linda Eggleton

Good morning everyone :)

This week I am back with another layout to share using the amazing

This time I have picked out the different greens from the collection, as my layout is based on the February Scrap Around The World mood board....and I was inspired by all the greens in the board :)

"A Very Good Day"

I have used the reverse side of the "Clippings" paper for my background, which has a gorgeous grey crackle effect against the white background.  I then dabbed some mists around the page using some scrunched up clingwrap, and then added some texture using a Prima "Static" stencil & some modelling paste.  I finished off my background by stamping the circles using 2 different sized cardboard cylinders from the inside of a roll of kitchen tidy bags.

The lime green pieces at the top & bottom of the paper layers, is one of the frame pieces from the Frames & Icon Cards vellum sheet.  After cutting it out from the sheet, I then cut it in half length ways, and arranged it so that they were offset from each other at the top & bottom of the paper layers.

I have used a strip that I cut from the 2Crafty Circular Panel that's running in under the paper layers under the photo...I've simply roughly coated this in Gesso.

I have added some tangled cotton strands to my cluster of Green Tara & Petaloo flowers, along with some diecut leaves.  The darker green flowers were a touch too dark, so I've roughly added some Gesso to them to lighten them up a bit.

For the title, I've used one of the 2Crafty "Happiness Line Words" and have added some of the Beautiful Chic aqua alpha stickers to add to the title.  I have coated the line word in Gesso, then added a variety of mists & gelatos until I got the colour I was happy with....I don't think I could get the same colour again if I tried...lol

Lots of 2Crafty on this page!  Here are some of the gorgeous Flying Birds - Love these!
I've coated them in Gesso & then coloured them by painting them with different coloured mists.

Some more tangled up cotton threads with a much smaller cluster.

And here you can see some of the background texture using the Prima Static stencil & modelling paste.  I've also added a few Teresa Collins sequins here & there around the page.

Under the photo I have used one of the 2Crafty Messy Square frames....placing it on the diagonal with the photo positioned on top.  This is also coated in Gesso, then painted with mist.  And my paper layers are just a variety of the green papers I picked out, cut into different sized strips & rectangles, then layered up with some of the Beautiful Chic Vellum pieces & Sentiment stickers layered in with them as well.

And here is a close up of the main area of the page.
The pic is one from our trip to Ireland....on one of our walks around the grounds of Ashford Castle where we were lucky enough to stay for a few nights.  It is such a beautiful place :)

That is all from me for another week.
I hope you've been inspired by this gorgeous collection :)
